The Ball Trap and The Safety Swing.

Josh came into the house from playing with Luke outside, and he told me that the Vortex ball was stuck in the "wedge" of our roof.  We started throwing other balls at it to try to knock it down, and before we knew it we had lost all the balls. 

We tried footballs, basketballs, and even the lightweight red ball.

We finally had to break down and get out the ladder. Josh wanted the honors of reducing the ball, and so we let him throw other balls at the vortex.

We lost all the balls and ended up fishing them loose with a big stick. 

These are the balls we lost and rescued from the roof, and the stick that finally freed them. 

We had a nice lazy weekend, complete with a bike ride to the Junior High.  Josh was racing across the parking lot...super intense.

Luke was happier on the swings.

He said it was relaxing but also like a roller coaster.
