Two Medicine

We decided to explore the Two Medicine area.  None of us had ever been here, so this was quite a fun day!  Our first stop was Running Eagle Falls, which is only 0.3 miles from the parking lot.  It usually has a huge portion of the falls from the top center portion, but today it was only flowing through the rock.  Some people refer to this as Trick Falls, for that reason.
We were here at about 9 in the morning, and it was still kind of chilly.  I love seeing waterfalls with my boys!

After Running Eagle Falls, we took a boat across Two Medicine Lake.  That cut over 3 miles off of our destination hike, and we learned a lot.  We saw this cool rock feature, Pumpelly Tower, from the trailhead. It's so cool to see these amazing features created by glaciers.

We came prepared to swim in waterfall pools, so the boys hit the water immediately upon our arrival.

Twin Falls had actually three pools to swim in, but daddy and me only swam in this one.  It was COLD!
Freezing cold pose.

We got back to the boat ramp with some time to spare, so we swam on this sand bar shaped like a question mark.  The boat captains told us they've never seen this before -- the water is too low.  The boys skipped rocks and swam their heads off.

My boys waiting for a boat.  Love hanging feet off a dock!
Our campground swimming pool had a fun splash pad that the boys loved. They can't get enough water!

They ran from one dumping bucket to another...

Great timing, Josh!
