Movie Night with Luke

We took Luke to a movie Sunday night.  Josh was invited to a birthday party and they all got to go to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2. When we asked Luke what he wanted to do while Josh was at the party, he said "go to the movie" with a silent DUH behind it.

Luke sat right between us (until it got scary, when he got on Daddy's lap), and was just in heaven.  Chillaxing and having some popcorn and candy with both of his parents.  Lucky us!

Hair Cut and Helmets

We bought the boys helmets and goggles for the upcoming ski season while we were in Great Falls this weekend.  I could not say NO to Luke when he asked for a red helmet.  He's too cute.
Josh is super serious about things. He chose Spy+ brand goggles, for obvious reasons.
This is my goof ball before his haircut.
And this is him after.  It looks better, but I still wish he'd agree to going to a professional...

Snowy Morning

We took a minute to play in the snow on Friday jmorning.  Snow angels in October is not cool with me.

But Luke was having a grand time!

Until he figured out I was taking pictures. No picture mom!

Josh was the first one down the slide to break through the snow.  Super fun.

Even Champ was not a fan of the wintery mix we had in autumn.  Josh took this picture of her.

Dinosaur Park

We went to Dinosaur Park yesterday on our way home from school and errands. Josh got to go there several times this summer with his camps, but Luke hasn't been and he keeps asking to go. No better time than the hour of sunshine we had yesterday!
Luke's really at prime Dinosaur Park age. He can do everything at the park (well, maybe not the monkey bar stuff...) and he loves it! It brings back such fond memories of when Josh was SO into dinosaurs and this park was his personal heaven.

Josh basically climbed on anything he could get his hands on. He wanted to show me his American Ninja Warrior skills here.

Look mom, dreamworks! (like the kid in the moon logo...get it? )

Luke was fearless (almost...) and a bouldering maniac!
I love how proud of himself he is when he does something great.

King of the World!

This is his new "smile" face. Josh went through this phase too -- at Disneyworld!

Josh walked/climbed all the way around the big rock. It was hard, I had one hand on his butt the whole time (except when I was taking pictures, of course!).

He's so strong.

I was so proud of him because he actually showed signs of fear and caution. Maturity.

Gotta have strong hands and fingers if you're going to be a ANW.

Rainy Poo Cucky Soccer

Luke's soccer game this Sunday was right in the middle of a very chilly rain storm. He didn't seem to mind, though, and played well/had tons of fun. (he's on the left in this picture...)
Luke's running form makes me smile.  I love that he's wearing a red glove and a green glove, with a bobcats hat and a soccer uniform.  And rocking it, I might add.

Josh and I huddled under a blanket (Josh called it an igloo) and were thankful that the coaches did a half-length game.

Goof balls

Walmart for us

A while ago Gramma and Grampa Wright sent the boys each a gift card to Walmart. Today was the day that we finally got to go spend our hot cash.
We agonized over the selections, and finally decided on these gems.

Josh got Monopoly Empire.  It's actually super cool and very fun.

Luke chose this "set" as he calls them. He has another one of these that he just loves.  No he has two "guys" and two lanterns and two dogs, but this one is a Golden Retriever. (obviously...)
