Josh's Birthday and Father's Day!

Monday we had a little picnic across from Pickle Barrel.  We can have fun anywhere.

Tuesday night was Luke's last baseball game.  They lost 18-22, it was a very eventful game.

In the last inning, the kids decided to rally by making interesting eye black.  Luke's was very tame!

Tuesday night we picked up Mike from the airport at 11:30.  The boys were tired, but they were so happy to see dad!

Wednesday was Josh's 12th birthday!  We got 18 balloons and Luke thought he might float away like the house in Up!

Josh invited a bunch of friends over to hang out, so we had 11 boys running rampant at our house.

We had watermelon, funfetti cake, chips, and soda.  All per Josh's request.

Singing Happy Birthday song was fun and silly, as it should be!

Everyone went to the trampoline to eat their cake and ice cream.

Friday we hiked at Sourdough trail.  These two goofballs were so loud and so silly the whole way.

Luke needed a break, and when I told him that there were no benches on this trail, he told me he would find a "trustworthy rock" to sit on.

Josh walked like this, in his "mankini" and floppy arms, saying Howdy to everyone we passed.  Never a dull moment!
Friday morning we were going to go to the cabin for the weekend. Our first spontaneous trip! Saturday morning we went to town to get breakfast.  Josh drove for a few miles, even on Rocky Point Road fro a while. Part of being 12 I guess.
Luke won a bet, and got to choose the place to eat breakfast.  He chose Betty's diner and had pancakes with M&Ms and Reese's candies.

Imagine my joy when I saw that we had wild daisy (weeds) on our side hill!  What a lovely surprise!

Saturday afternoon we did chores while the weather wasn't so great.  I converted this old waterski into a wine rack.

Mike's project was a lot more involved and more practical. He made a wood cutting jig so that we could cut the logs into the right length (13.5 inches long) for our fireplace.

This is the coolest!

Saturday night was a game of 31, which Mike won.

Happy Father's Day!  Sunday morning with our two morning larks on the deck. Josh loves that robe!
Mancakes for our favorite Dad!
