BMX Season 1 - Complete

I love the Flag Lap that they start every race with. 

I'm so glad we brought The Good Camera for this race...he did so well and it was such a nice night for watching bikes. 

Tonight Josh raced three times, two motos and one Main.  (in his age division you have to qualify in your motos to get into the Main...so you have to take first or second in the first moto or second in the second moto to race in the Main.  The Main is for the ribbons (or points if that's what you're after). Qualifying for the Main is a big deal.)
He took third, then first, then second.  Great night!

His technique is getting honed in nicely. Here he's concentrating on pumping the hilly parts.

He's even starting in the standing position...which looks scary as hell to me.

This is turn one of his second race, where he's waaaay out front of the other two racers.

He knew he had to finish first to get into the Main, so here he is checking the competition behind him. Kinda hard to make a subtle glance behind you when you're wearing a full face helmet.
