Sea World

Wednesday we went to Sea World!  While we were in line to buy our tickets we ran into a classmate of Josh's. What a small world!

The boys loved the touching pools...they touched sharks!
And they got to meet Shamu! Huge big deal!

Our first stop was the polar bear and beluga whale area.  The polar bears were not there, which was a big bummer. But we did get to watch a white while swim around.
And the boys loved playing the in the polar bear "snow" caves.

Then back to the sunshine for some dolphin watching...

We went to the dolphin show.  It was so cool.  It was a little artsy for us, lots of theatrics and diving, but we loved the dolphin tricks so much!

What's not to like?

The dolphins are so much more fun to watch than Shamu.  They're so graceful and playful.

Random flamingos.

Josh tried the Manta roller coaster, and Luke was too small.  He got to sit in the seat, though.  Josh LOVED the ride, and even bought a sweatshirt with the Manta stats on it.
See, he loved it!

While Josh and Mike were riding Manta, Luke and I went to the Sesame Street Bay of Play to check out some more kid-stuff.

He liked these rides a lot...
When we asked what else they wanted to do before we left the park, Luke said this ride.

We went on Journey to Atlantis thinking it would be like Splash Mountain at Disney. We were wrong.  Three of us loved it, one hated it.

This is what True Fear looks like. Poor Luke cried through the whole thing and kept saying "I hate dis ride" over and over.

We watched a funny sea lion show

The actors were funny, but the sea lion was a show stealer!

And of course we saw Shamu!  We actually watched this show twice.

The second time Josh and Daddy wanted to sit down super close so they could get super soaked.

We were in the soak zone for the first show, but we didn't really get soaked (not like if we were hit by this splash!).

Aren't they cool?

We rode on the Journey to Atlantis ride, which looked fun but was way, way too scary for Luke.  Look at his poor face...
