Phone Dump

This is a random post of what we've been up to for the last two weeks.  In really no particular order, either because I'm doing this on our *new mac book pro* and I"m kind of mac-illiterate at the moment.  I know we're going to love this soon, but right now I'm at the everything-takes-twice-as-long super frustrated stage. Sigh.
Just a happy Sunday. I don't know who is happier in this picture, Luke (who is wearing antlers from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, of course), Ruby or Mike.

When I die I want to come back to this world as Mike Jenkins' dog.  She's got it good.

Luke's bottom teeth are coming in at 45 degree angles to his jawline.  The orthodontist's fund starts now.

She has no shame.

That's my son, the one who would saw the tables in half.  Ahh, to be a boy.

One minute he's asking to help with chores so he can earn money, and stealing my heart. The next minute he's writing that he wants to chainsaw tables.

We went to Tyson's 5th birthday party Saturday, and Josh and Luke were votes "funnest" of the party. Huge accolades!

We babysat Little Joe, who stole our hearts with his inch-long eyelashes.

They do look kind of fun, don't they?

This is what our Sunday looked like...data transfer...fun fun fun.

Ruby got spayed two weeks ago.  She HATED the cone of shame.  She never did figure out to walk in it.  Thank goodness she's a fast healer. :)

One night last week we had a little craft night.  Luke sanded and painted a wooden treasure chest in his undies.

Josh got a rainbow loom and made a bracelet.  I love that this toy is universal for all genders.

Look how proud he is, painted box and bracelet completed.  I love this boy.

Josh's first bracelet.

We had an ice skating cub scouts event on Saturday, and Josh took about 7,000,000 laps around the rink.  With his ankles turned in the whole time. It makes me hurt to watch him.

We put the boys in swim lessons after spring break, we figured let's keep that water momentum rollin'. They're loving it! Josh is swimming from wall to wall, learning to breath and perfect his form.

Luke is learning swimming strokes, but more fun-based than Josh. (as with his whole life...)

Spring Break 2014

And we're off...

We were so excited to leave, and our plane was delayed for so long, we just couldn't help but wait anxiously by the window.

Once we got on the plane, we were upgraded to first class because Mike's a delta super special status guy.  These boys are so lucky! Josh studied the Sea World Map.

And got to try out the air mask from our super friendly flight attendant.

Luke watched The Croods with Daddy

I can't get enough pictures of his two missing teeth.
We went to Medieval Times where you can't use silverware.  How fun!
Couldn't be more excited!

Our team was blue. It was very entertaining.

And our first adventure was in the books. Off to the hotel for a good night's rest...

The Happiest Place on Earth

Day 1 - wakey wakey, we got a mouse to meet!

We got there early to beat the crowds and were first in our line to enter the park.

A rare sight of the castle without the mobs of people.

First in line behind the roped off area.  Success!

We headed to Star Tours first, and we liked the Star Wars themed gift shop.  Darth Daddy
Luke loved this ride, he went on it three times this day!

They have young Jedi Training periodically, and Luke and I caught a show. This is him raising his hand to volunteer for training.

The Jedi Master was funny.  I wish Luke would have been picked, but it was still entertaining without him being on stage.

Me and my boys, in front of Walt and his mouse

Josh's favorite ride was Space Mountain. He loves this picture of his crazy hair.

We loved Splash Mountain.  Can you tell?

My friend Marcie was at Disney with her family, so we rode Splash Mountain with her daughter and husband.  Her husband was smart enough to move to the kids in back could be seen in the picture. Not me..I totally blocked Luke's head. Oops

Then we went to see Jessie.

Marcie and I needed proof that we were here together!

We love goofy!

We are goofy!

Then this happened.  Luke was selected to be a drummer for the Straw Hat Singers.  Donald and Luke were in a drumming competition...

Donald tried to distract him, but Luke was unphased.
Luke just kept on drummin'

When the crowd voted for the best drummer, Luke won by a landslide! (His hat was down because Donald pulled it down during the shenanigans)

We just melted...this was so exciting for all of us!

Then we went to our hotel and took a break in the pool.  Our MT bodies were not used to the 85 degree heat!

We came back to the park in plenty of time for the parade.  Luke got to ride on Daddy's shoulders to watch.  Lucky!

As we waited, Josh and Daddy recapped the day.

After the parade and we stood in the longest line of the day (surprisingly!) for the Peter Pan ride.

And the last ride of the night was a storybook cruise that Luke didn't want to go on.  After this ride, we watched Fantasmic, which was an incredible show.
