Halloween and First Deer!

Josh's pumpkin this year. He carved it Monday since he was hunting all weekend, and he did it all himself.

While Josh was carving, I prepared my costume.

I went as Identity Theft, and those funny names were tags all over my shirt.
Luke's class had a Halloween Party and Parade, so I went to go to see Mr. Trump charm the crowds.

Monday after school Josh got all dressed up, as an 80s dude with a mullet.  He really rocked that wig!

Too cool!

Friday afternoon the pets took simultaneous naps.

Cozy kitty.

We got a ton of snow this week. Josh built a snowboarding hill and ramp.  He worked so hard on that thing!

Kyler was over on Friday and they worked on it for a few hours before and after their school Fun Night (aka Josh's first middle school dance).

Saturday was a nice, lazy day.  Luke and I built legos while we watched it snow.

Josh worked on his jump thing for hours.  Like 6 hours.  He loved it and only came inside because he had to go to the bathroom.

Sunday morning view of the Bridgers. The sun is back and it's gorgeous!

Starbucks and Target at the launch of Heart and Hand line from Joanna Gaines. I couldn't be happier.

Josh and Mike's Sunday morning looked a little different than ours.  Josh got his first deer!  He shot at it, missed it. Waited for it to walk back around, then shot it from 250 yards or so.   This picture is of Josh walking up to it where it had laid down to die.
When they got to the deer, they poked it and it appeared dead so they lifted up the antlers, and the darn thing ran away!!  Josh had to shoot it again, this time in the face (ha ha ha!) and it died.  They shot it in the back of the head, and so 3 bullets later this deer is ready to gut.

My little hunter!

It is a nice deer! It's so big compared to him!

He said no part of the entire process grossed him out, not even gutting it.

Cutting out the backstops...a delicacy for hunters.

We got a deer hanging!
