Day 4 - Fishing

5:15 AM and we're getting on board the Start Me Up fishing boat.  We were so amazed at how big the lures are!
We left the bay in the moonlight, and saw whales breaching about 20 yards in front of us.  Amazing!

Soon it was light and we were all about catching fish.  Captain Tipster assured us he had a few secret places to hit and we were full of optimism.

First Mate Matt was a wild man on the back deck.  Josh was sitting in the Fighting Chair getting ready to reel in a Mahi Mahi that we saw bite our lures.  No such luck, though.

We fished all the way out to the tip of Lanai. It was gorgeous!  I was surprised how smooth the ocean was, until later in the morning/early afternoon.  We took dramamine and put on ear patches, and we were free from all sea sickness.  I was so relieved!

Our fishing tour was done around 1 pm, and we decided to find some lunch. We went to Cheeseburger In Paradise in Lahaina and this is the view from our booth. The waves were going under our window, it was amazing.

Then back to "our" beach for some sand fun.

We watched the sunset at Black Rock beach.

The kids have a fun game called Repair Repair, where they build a sand castle (pile) in the sand and when the waves harm it, they repair it as fast as they can.  The tide was coming in, so they were having trouble keeping up with it, so they decided to protect it with their boogie board.
