We stayed at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel, and we loved the lush grounds. It's not the fanciest place on the beach, but it was plenty fancy for us. We loved everything there! |
This little gecko lived on the pipe that we saw every time we walked to the car. |
These fresh bananas were on our hotel grounds. |
We asked the boys to stay dry before lunch, this is them attempting to stay dry. |
My happy toes. Look at the beautiful sand! |
We rented a silver Mustang convertible and the boys loved the experience! |
This was my view a lot...two smiling boys in the backseat. We did a little shopping (for beach towels and cool hats), and rented our snorkel gear for the week on this day. |
Our hotel had a place called Tiki Bar (go figure!) and we enjoyed our first of many pina coladas and mai tais there. |
My second drink was a local beer. Mike posted this on instagram with the caption "I'm sure the kids are fine" which makes me laugh. We were watching them play in the pool as we drank. |
Luke loved getting buried in the sand. |
Before we knew it, it was time to go to the Old Lahaina Luau. Mike let Luke ride in the front seat of the convertible. So grown up! Josh got 1,000,000 more freckles on that first day. |
Josh liked his tropical punch drink, and here he is standing in front of the buried pig. |
At our seats before our feast. The boys were so excited to have real leis! |
My sweet boy! |
We did some exploring before the feast and dancing started. The sunset was gorgeous. |
Luke in front of the buried pig. |
We ordered them virgin lava flows, but Luke didn't like his. Josh was kind enough to drink them both! |
The uncovering of the pig is quite a presentation, but here is the meat that they uncovered. So cool! |
Just another cute Luke shot. |
Check out that sunset! So pretty! |
The dancers were amazing. So pretty, and so talented. |
They say this is the best luau on Maui, and I can see why. There are so many gorgeous dancers, and so many well orchestrated dances. |
