The Leftovers...

Luke fell asleep like this one night.  That's Tired.
And, lets just talk about how awesome his jammies are.  Fuzzy and footed, love love love.

Saturday was a good fort building day.  They took the fort to the next level by using the fireplace.  Love that imagination!

Champ!

Champ came to the school!

He even gave high fives to the kids.  So cool!

Our First Two-Boy Football Season!

Look at this tough guy!  He's on the Chargers this year.

Little warm up action...

Josh is a great little lineman.

Luke's first year at Flag Football, and he's on the Cowboys.  His coach is also Josh's coach,  and we have three sets of brothers on the team.  Fun little dynamic there.

He KNOWS how tough he is.

Luke's pink mouthguard is super tough.  It's flavored like bubble gum (sucker mom!) and he loves it.

QB Luke Jenkins.

Ready Stance!

Luke's a fast little runner.

Luke's a BMX guy too!

Luke raced his first BMX night tonight and won this amazing trophy!
This is his first glimpse of it...awestruck!
Josh won first in his main event tonight! He rocked!

It was so cute to watch the boys ride together...they're pretty cool dudes.

Josh rode really well...this was him passing a guy to get second place.  He really turned on the heat in the home stretch.

He is mastering the art of stand-up starts. Getting pretty confident!

Tonight he had one second place and two firsts. This is him in first place coming out of turn one.

And all alone at the finish line. Woo hop

Luke's little kindergarten friend, Jackson, who is also somehow related...(Mike's uncle is also his dad's uncle), has been racing all summer.  Pretty stinking cute, just guys talking bikes.
This is the three of those kids doing a practice lap.

Luke took third in all three of his races, but he did great for his first race.

His tongue was out for half the race...here he's licking his nose.

This is Mean Face Luke.

Such concentration

And out comes the tongue again...must help finish strong.

Luke's off to Kindergarten!

This is our baby.  Our big, 5-year old Kindergarten student!

He really loves his Minion backpack, and insisted it be in the picture.

He will be taller than daddy when he's kneeling soon.

I love that Luke is holding Daddy's hand.

They wanted to do silly faces.  This is zombie boys

And this is a silly pose...Luke on his knees and daddy standing instead of the other way around.

He's laughing so we got a real smile.

Aww, he's holding my hand...

Can you see his eye through the handle on the backpack?  He's so funny.
He looks so big here, but he looks like a baby compared to the rest of the school.  My Sweet Baby Lucas.

We have to do this the first day of Kindergarten so we can see how short he was. :)

It's apparently a popular thing to do, because two of his soccer friends (and there super photogenic sister) did it too! I'm so glad Luke has friends before he starts school.

Pondering...

As soon as we got to the playground, he dropped his backpack and took off. Alone.  Instead of looking scared or lonely, he looked like he owned the place.  Ready to try all these new fun things.
Coming back in after the bell rang. He had some serious swagger goin' on.

So sweet, just standing in line with his minions.

The final wave.  Man do I love him.

And they're off.  Such a cute little line.

Josh Goes to Third Grade

We have a third grader on our hands!  A super silly one!
My three silly boys (and one cat butt...it had to be said)

Joshy, why won't you smile?

He has such a nice smile when it's real.  Here the boys were throwing the newspaper at daddy and roaring when it hit him.

Angry Joshy
happy Joshy

Karate Luke

Roof Raisin' Luke

He's taller than me while I'm kneeling. What has happened?

I actually love this picture.  It's rare that I like a picture with me in it, but this one makes me happy to look at.

And he's off. He is officially too old for a hug in the parking lot and too old for a picture as he walks to school. Dang
