| we trick or treated with the Ryles, which was very fun! I think this is our third year doing this. |

| Luke's jack-o-lanterns. He did the one on the left all by himself. No help at all. He intended to make two eyes, but it got away from him and so he decided to make a one-eyed alien. And the tiny pumpkin was one he got on a field trip at school. He did not accept the answer that it was too small to carve, so daddy carved it a face as best as he could. A plus efforts all around! |

| This is how we Halloween when the holiday falls on a Friday. Thermoses full of whiskey-cokes and coffee mugs of red wine. It made for a fun evening! |
