Happy Memorial Day!

Luke's class had their spring musical performance of the water cycle on Tuesday.  He's in the back row, wearing his Play Shirt and suit pants.

Acting out what water does...

Falling from the sky...

I love this elementary school stuff. :)

Isn't he the sweetest?

After the performance was his lunch break, so we went to Chipotle for lunch.

Thursday we did STEM in the classroom, and we measured how quickly our homemade boats made it down the creek.  Luke volunteered to be the "catcher" of the boats, so he got to sit on a board for the whole lesson.

Thursday night Luke had a big baseball game.  I LOVE how he looks in his tiny pants.

Gramma and Grampa Wright came to town for the big game, and stayed Friday until we left for camping at Hauser.  They had a fun game of cribbage Friday morning.

We planted our gardens-- this year we're doing less plants and more attention to them.  This is Josh's side.  jalapeƱos, strawberries, cucumbers, and marigolds.

Luke's side has lettuce, strawberries, broccoli, and marigolds.

Friday we left for Hauser Lake camping, and Josh is making himself right at home in the front seat.

We "camped" at Marissa and Roger's  lake house, and got to help with some projects.  The boys put in the docks, wearing wetsuits and waders to help with the 55 degree water.

Derek was our first surfer of the year. :) Full wetsuits were pretty mandatory.

Josh was so happy surfing!  I don't know how he handled the shorty wetsuit, how did he not get cold???

The weather was incredible, but we still needed wetsuits.  Here is Mike on the first of his surfing trips this year.

Luke was killing it on his wakeboard.

Luke is in the back, Gabe and Josh in the front -- makes for a fun tubing ride!

We found this random pedal boat out floating in the lake, and decided to rescue it.  The boys were trying to pedal it across the lake, but it just didn't work, so we towed them home.

This picture was something I found while I was downloading pictures...apparently Josh thinks its funny how long Luke's hair is....

The Harley's are here for a few days, so we of course went to ice cream right away.

Last Lacrosse Weekend

This is what the boys came up with when they were practicing for super hero day.  They think Luke has a nice "man bun."

Luke got to have breakfast with Daddy on Sunday morning.  The Red Chair has great food day and night!

Sunday we took the lid off the Jeep for the summer.  Josh and I drove home topless.

Happy Fathers Day to Mikey!  We bought him the surf board he has been wanting for so long! Get ready for some serious good times this summer on this super fun board.

Last lacrosse weekend!  The boys played great but went 0-2 for the day  Look at these fun boys!  (Josh is #2 in the back in the center.)

We wanted to get some good pictures of Josh while he was wearing his "normal" jersey, White, and so here are some more action shots.  This is Josh scooping and running.

This is the running part...

Josh played such great defense that he was marked up against the best shooter on the team.

Josh had a great goal during the first game and Mike took a series of shots capturing it.

Boom!

This is my current favorite picture.
And another series of pictures of Josh's goal during the next game.

The ball almost got the goalie in the face!
Tough guy.

Phone Dump

Luke and his friend, Rogen, have been working on a passion project about Harry Potter for weeks.  They presented their powerpoint last week. Since neither one wanted to do the talking, they took turns.  One appears to be a bigger ham than the other one.

Friday we went to Jackson for a lacrosse tournament.  We left Bozeman early on purpose so that we could get to Teton Gravity Research by the time it closed.  The boys were so happy!  Josh kept saying "this is heaven, yo."

This truck is called the Tangerine Dream, and it's famous in TGR movies.  The boys couldn't believe their luck that they got to see it!

Our friends Lisa and Derek had Ruby Friday night.  She appears to be enjoying her time with them.  Spoiled!!

This was our view for Friday.  The clouds came and went, and it never rained.  It was perfect weather!  This is our third year at this tournament, and the first year without rain or snow.

Sunday Josh's game was at 8:30 in the morning, and Luke was just not having it. He said that if I would have told him that we had to get up so early, he would have went to bed earlier Saturday night.  I know that is not true, but it's what all of us were thinking when we woke up Sunday.  :)

We had a little break between Josh's last game and Kyler's last game, so we went to a darling little bakery called Persephone that Ms. Hovland (Luke's teacher) recommended.  It was a great stop!

We had to take a Mother's Day picture with the antlers!

This is part of Luke's mother's day present to me.  I will cherish this forever.

Lacrosse Pics

These are the lacrosse photos from Mike's big camera this past weekend in Jackson.
The rules changed for this tournament, so they played 10 v 10 on a normal sized field.  They usually have 4 teams of 12 kids when they play 6 v 6 on a small field, so they had to restructure the teams.  Josh was on Black, and was number 14 for the weekend.

He did great at his face offs.

See that fight and hustle?

Can you see his black cheeks?  He's super serious about his eye black.

In the ready position.

Josh has the ball in this picture...the defender is trying to get it, but Josh kept it away.

Running in to get the faceoff ball.

Playing defense...trying to stop that #28 from getting past him.

Again with the ball, trying to keep it from the Jackson kid.

Throwing a pass.
This is Kyler taking a shot (he's the one floating in the air, no # on his back).

I jus like this series of pictures!
