The Mighty Hunter Boys

The boys got to go to Hunting Camp with daddy and grampa for two nights!  They had so much fun!
They slept three in a row like a dorm. Snuggly by the fire in their sleeping bags, cozy!

Luke liked to play like he was a bear.

They got all festive and put a tree up in the wood pile. Josh cut this down himself with a hand saw. We're really starting them out early!

The decorations are shot gun shells, candy wrappers and headlamps.

A Walk To The Park

We decided to go walk to a park today.  It was a nice little snow-ball fight of a walk.

Josh was pouting because his friend couldn't join us...and he didn't want his picture taken.

I love his 1 1/2 grown up big teeth, can't help but post this picture of his teeth.

I love his hair today -- the curly cue in the front makes me smile.

Love this face.

Painting

Josh had to paint his Raingutter Regata sailboat today.  We don't use paint shirts in our house, we just strip on down.

Luke decided to do some painting too -- I think it was because he just wanted to get naked.

SNOW DAY!

We had the most fun outside in our big snow this afternoon!  We were only outside for about 15 minutes because it was COLD out, but we had a good time in those 15 minutes.
Josh just had to be the first one down the slide!

This is Luke's normal route up the playset, and he was thrown for a loop when it was too slippery to climb up.

He found a way up, and loved going down the slide!

WHEEE

This was the goal -- land in a puff of snow!

Luke, our King Of Eating, trying out some of this fresh snow.

He quickly decided to build something, but the snow was too deep. He decided to blow off the snow, like daddy did to the driveway.

Then he decided his arm should be a snowplow

We found some tools, and he quickly hung them up for next time. My OCD heart nearly exploded.

Such a happy little boy!

Snow angel alert!

By the time we went inside I didn't have two sons, I had two frozen puppies.

And we promptly enjoyed (see look at that happy face) our hot chocolate!

Hunter Boys

This is before the first ever three-boy hunt.   They had a blast, didn't see any deer but they had a grand ol' time.  I was home alone for 4 hours.  BLISS!
In case your'e wondering what the boys are doing -- he's posing with his ring pop and Luke has a pack across his chest like Chewbacca.

School Picture time!

We LOVE his picture. We love his missing tooth and his little sticky-uppy hairs.  So sweet.

Pumpking Carving

Josh designed and carved (with some adult help) his own jack o lantern this year. He wanted something spooky, so he gave it three eyes.
He's growing so fast. (Unlike our pumpkins, which I grew in our garden. I'm just happy we have any pumpkins at all, I don't mind if they're mini pumpkins.)

What a sweet, proud face!

Luke helped me design his own...very happy little boy.

The final product.
