Tee Ball again...

All the kids dog pile to get the ball.

Luke gives us a thumbs down if someone else gets the ball...

And if he gets to throw it into the coach, we get a thumbs up.

The kids all sit in a circle waiting to bat. I think this is Luke's favorite part...he's a bit of a clown.

Doesn't this look like he's swingin' for the fences?

his run is AWESOME.  So silly, and so enthusiastic at the same time.

I believe this is the ready position for a fielder.

More happy running.

And some silly faced running

Who knows what this is all about. Jazz hands???

Hulk Smash!

Luke got Hulk Smash hands this weekend.  He loves them!  Heck, we all do!  He is no match for daddy (who happened to be pretending to be Loci here), and daddy Tic Toc'd him to show him Loci's power! As soon as daddy set him down Luke said "Again!" and on and on it went.

He is loving every minute of this.  Who knows why he has clear goggles on, but they are imperative.

Luke's First Tee Ball Game!

Luke is so so so tough.
Luke posed for me at the tee before the game started. I love his smile so much!
Everything about this kicks ass.  From the spider man shoes to his curly hair!

The entire team stood still after the first hit. Not a single player went toward the ball. But soon they figured it out, and here is Luke hustling over to a ball. Go Lukey!

He had three nice hits.  Unfortunately I got only blurry shots of his glory.

He's not sure what he's supposed to be doing, but he's ready to do it!

This is the second of three innings, and he is sitting at the short stop position.  Basic refusal to stand.

This is what he did after I said "Nice job!  Give me five!"

Snake Charmers

Josh found a real snake on our trail...and he caught it! This kid LOVES snakes.  I'm getting braver, I didn't scream and I actually helped him find it when it ran into the weeds.  But, much to Josh's dismay we are NOT going to get a pet snake. Ever.

Luke's getting braver, here he's touching it with more than one finger.  And he's smiling.

Drinking Horse Trail

Luke's shooting us.  This is such a BOY thing.  He hiked the entire way up, because bad guys were behind us.
And they're off...sun hats and camelbacks and we're ready for Drinking Horse Trail!

At the top, we found tree climber's heaven.  Josh went up 8' or so...not bad for his first try.

Luke had NOTHING to do with the tree climbing. He was far more interested in eating his animal crackers.

The boys make me smile.

We took several breaks, this trail is made for taking a moment to take in the vistas.

Mothers Day Race

They found me close to the finish line...look at those happy boys running to me!
Josh ran a few yards with me -- he's fast!

They have a big rock at this recreation area, and the boys were in heaven! Josh scaled that sucker a few times--all the way to the top!

Here's my two boys -- Josh is hanging out on the top proud as punch, Luke at the bottom staring off into space.  Love this!

Luke hung out a little closer to the ground...smart kid.

Secret Park

Josh took us to the Secret Park this weekend.  He is serious about his play.

This kid is fearless.  He's starting to get really strong and can climb to places that make mommy's heart skip.

Running up the slide -- perhaps to get to the top of the monkey bars faster?

He's a silly, CUTE, little boy.

Luke drives places.  He was flying a speeder (from star wars...) here.

He's not afraid of silly faces either. :)

Summer Has Started

Last weekend we had our first campfire cookout of the season!  Luke and daddy made the fire -- this is Luke enjoying the fruits of their labor.

Josh was focused on the hotdogs -- no smiles no looking at the camera.

Backyard Bull Ridin'

This is the boys spurrin' the bull (aka daddy).
Josh hung on through this treacherous maneuver.

Luke was a silly little bull rider, smiling through the whole thing. Josh was all business and hung on for dear life.

Look at that sweet smiling face.

Daddy really tried to buck him off, look at that form, but Luke hung on tight!

This was Luke's last straw -- his legs whipped around and he was off.  Still a good ride cowboy.
