Punkin Carving

This is the boys before.  They were not too enthusiastic.  Can I just make it clear that were carving them outside in 60 degree weather, just hours before the winter storm hit.

Champ came out to help. She mostly sat in the dirt pile from the flower pot and looked like the spoiled little sheeba that she is.

She loves to be outside. I wonder what she was looking at this time.

Josh is elbow deep in pumpkin guts here. And yet he (kind of ) smiled for me!

He kept saying "This is actually fun" over and over. His face does not show it, but he liked it.  Luke, not so much.  He didn't like the guts, didn't like the tiny knife saws that were all that I trusted him with, and didn't really get why you'd draw something first and then cut it.  He was out of there in about 10 minutes.

Josh hung in there a lot more than I thought he would. He traced the design (mostly), and cut it (mostly) and was very proud of himself.

Happy Halloween Party

Happy Halloween from Fred, Wilma, a super scary werewolf and The Hulk.

Super scary poses -- Luke had to take off his mask so you could see his scary face.  (of course.)

The four Flintstones posed, and since Josh was taking the picture, Luke figured he might as well be in it.

Why I Love Fall

This Sunday was absolutely gorgeous.  The bright sun, the fluffy clouds, the yellow leaves -- it was amazing.

The boys went to the park across the street (by themselves!) for a bit, and I snuck over to take a few pictures on this beautiful day.

Luke was running from me -- I love his sprinter hand (right hand) when he runs.

Josh can only climb challenging "routes" with his tongue out. It's physically impossible otherwise.

Pizza Party

This is the best team picture we got at the pizza party.  The Pre K league is just so cute.

Daddy weekend part 2

The first stop in Billings was the zoo.  It was a big hit with my boys.

This grizzly bear got really close to the window and the boys. They both said that this was a highlight of the zoo visit.

Josh loves smiling for the camera.

In front of the eagles we got a smirk.  They said that the eagles "talked" to them, which sounds cool.

In front of the river otters. This is one of my favorite zoo pictures...such cute little brown eyed boys.

They "made" dad take this picture in front of the owl for me.  Aww

The peacock at large was a huge hit too.

They loved the red panda -- pretty cool for a MT zoo.

Also pretty cool for a MT zoo

And just strolling by the wolves, no big deal.

Daddy weekend part 1

While I was off galavanting in Idaho, the boys went to Billings to buy these rockin' bunk beds from Cabelas.  They slept on them in our bedroom last night and they were a huge success.  Now the bunk beds are a legendary cave.  To Da Cave!!! Luke keeps yelling.

They went to Laser Tag too. They loved it!

I love Luke's face in this one.  Part Scary, part Scared.

can't get tougher than this

Happy Birthday Weekend

Hilerie and I met in Idaho Falls for a birthday weekend get away. It was lovely!

I had just finished a 3-week elimination diet/cleanse, and during the vegetarian week I would daydream about a cheeseburger and a beer.  Here it is, baby. Delish and worth the wait!

Isn't it pretty?

I got this in my fortune cookie at lunch -- I think it's a fantastic birthday message. :)

Movie Night with Luke

We took Luke to a movie Sunday night.  Josh was invited to a birthday party and they all got to go to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2. When we asked Luke what he wanted to do while Josh was at the party, he said "go to the movie" with a silent DUH behind it.

Luke sat right between us (until it got scary, when he got on Daddy's lap), and was just in heaven.  Chillaxing and having some popcorn and candy with both of his parents.  Lucky us!
