Naked Wrestling (!??!!?)

For some reason the boys had to take off their clothes.  Josh at least had the common sense to put on a pair of shorts, but Luke was full naked for at least an hour.  He pranced around singing "I'm Sexy And I Know It" and then they decided it was time to wrestle. Of course it was.

A bad guy captured Josh...

Luke comes to the resuce.  Naked.

He looks like he's about to take down the Bad Guy

The boys are victorious!  For this round...

Neighbors?

What must the neighobrs think of this view????

Anticipation

Josh has been saving money for Skylanders for the Wii since Christmas, when Gabe got it from Santa.  The boys finally saved enough money to combine and buy it.  We saved a bunch of money by buying it on-line, but that meant we had to wait until Tuesday.  Josh wrote these "sentences" on the white board on Monday night.  I love him.

This is Josh this morning, making his list of new Skylanders action figures to look for at the store. Clothing is optional for this activity.

Sweet Boys Sleeping

The other night both boys woke up in the middle of the night and "needed" me.  So we snuggled in Luke's bed, and they stayed there until it was time to get up in the morning.  Sweet boys. I got to thinking...it's been a long time since they slept together...
This was the first ever attempt to be in the same bed together...clearly not a sleeping picture, but just made me smile. Dec 08

The first time I actually caught them sleeping in my bed together.  They look so young to me here! May 2009

Fishes

We decided to take the boys swimming at the Ridge pool this afternoon. Josh was all ready -- even dressed himself (can ya tell).  ps I knew when we bought those cowboy boots that one day, he'd rock them with shorts. Sure enough, he's owning it!)

Josh looks like this every time he comes up for air - completely panicked and surprised. It never gets old.

Luke always looks like this -- as happy as if he had sense. Through foggy-too-small goggles, no less.

Happy boy ready to jump in.

He liked floating around on these dumbells, which he called Blasters.  Whatever.

Josh thinks its super funny that we can look at each other underwater. It's his favorite thing to do, wave at each other underwater, and to take a picture of it really blew his mind.

Star Wars Invasion

Josh as Lord Grievious (aka Lord Gravious -- don't try to tell Josh how to pronounce it, you're wrong!)

Luke as Darth Vader. We have to call him Lord Vadah when he wears the mask.

The cutest little Yoda I've ever seen. Yoda uses two fingers when he does the force -- see Luke's hand ready to use the force on the camera?

Using the force.

And these might seem odd choices for pictures to put on the blog, but they've been playing the Star Wars Wii game so much lately, this is a typical sight around our house. Josh is super serious, as usual, and can't even look at the camera for aone second.

Luke loves playing the Wii too -- even if Josh yells at him to do the more advanced moves when Luke doesn't know what he's doing.  Luke's so easy going.

Our two day spring break

This week was Bozeman's spring break. I worked the first three days, and took Thursday and Friday off for a nice little break.

We went "hiking" around the trails behind the library, and ended up on Peet's Hill.  The boys ran everywhere we went, so they got warm fast.  Josh said it's ok to take off your shirt when you're running, he's seen it done. So here are my hot hiking boys!

When we stayed home, they played hunter.  This is Josh's very deliberate ensemble.  He's got a mask, a camo bandana on top of the mask, a paper gun and a camo shirt. Animals would run scared from him!

Luke's hunter outfit was a bit more, shall we say casual?  Josh tied Luke's bandana on, and it turned out to be more of a headband. (He'd be a beautiful girl...) The claw slippers really sold it for me.

He shoots, he scores!

The Magic, Josh's basketball team, had their last game on Saturday. All season long their coach has been trying to get everyone on the team a basket. Today was Josh's day. He shot about 7 times (in two different clusters...) and finally he got a basket! It was thrilling.
This is Josh during warm ups. He made 6 baskets during warm up and half time.  Love this little smile.

Luke was so happy when Josh scored. Unfortunately, the pictures from The Basket were all blurry, so you'll have to use your imagination to see what Josh's proud smile (and awesome body language) looked like.

We had an awesome coach who provided personalized trophies at the end of the game. This is the moment when the kids first learned they were getting actual trophies, as they ate their basketball cookies. Lucky kids!

And here to accept his award is young Joshua Jenkins, from Bozeman MT.

This is his pose with the trophy picture...complete with a mouthful of cookie.  Sigh.
