Magic!

Josh started playing K/1 Basketball through the YMCA this week.  He is on the Magic, and it's fantastically entertaining.  Here are some shots from the first game, Magic vs Bulls.

He likes basketball a lot. He seems to smile when he's playing.

Unless he's playing tough d. (Just kidding...he doesn't really get the difference between offense and defense yet, and we saw a lot of football blocking when he was supposed to be getting open on offense.)

He was really trying to be in on the action, but sometimes he got a bit delayed.

I love this picture.  The running form is impecable and the tongue action is notable.

Such a masculine stance.

Taking the ball down the court. Tongue out is crucial!

it takes all of his concentration to dribble and walk at the same time.

He's actually not a bad passer. He had one assist in Saturday's game.

This is "put your hands up, make it hard for him to pass!" in action.

Entrapment, Jenkins Style

Spy Watch

Josh got this sweet spy watch Saturday.  We took it straight to McDonalds for a stealth mode motion detector project.  It's really awesome -- just some of the features are a motion detector, a night vision light, a decoding screen for secret spy messages, a world clock and 24-hour time, and a stopwatch.  He's in heaven.

Luke got a new bed

Luke got a new bed this weekend. We have a few more items coming from internet shopping and then I'll do a Luke's Room Reveal.
Last night when I was putting him to bed he said "this is a wonderful bed."  Awww

Pizza Planet Birthday Party

We went to Butte on Sunday to celebrate my cousin Brianna's daughter's third birthday.  The boys love Silver Bow Pizza Parlor, aka Pizza Planet.  It's total chaos, we love it!

My silly boys were riding the crocodile together. Josh simply would not look at me.

Josh was showing us how easy some of the rides were -- he was doing his patience meditations during the rides.  I could not make this stuff up.

This is one of several really bad photos of the carosel rides.  The boys loved it, they were giving high fives and Josh was meditating, but I have no such pictures to show you.

Here's Josh riding the buckin' bronco, who looks more like a race horse to me.

Carter and Landon on the carosel. They're better trained at this whole picture thing -- they smile on command.

Landon and Josh playing basketball.  They're too small to even try to make a basket from the floor so we just put them in the game. It worked nicely.

Josh and Landon playing a game.  Josh really thought Landon was super cool.

Luke driving.  He liked to do all the riding games and kept more to himself.

He loved the red train ride the best.

Here is the birthday girl blowing out her candles.  She had a Tangled Cake.  It was beautiful!

Avery made out like a bandit, got all kinds of fun toys and beautiful clothes.

This is baby Liam, our newest addition in the generation of second cousins.  He's a doll.

And last but not least, Jordan holding Teague.  He's one cute baby and he's got a fantastic walk going on.  So glad we could come visit our family members and share in such a fun day!

Toothless Wonder

Josh finally lost his first tooth!  The bottom two have been wiggling since Thanksgiving, and his permanent teeth are nearly all the way in, so it's about time.  He's so excited for the Tooth Fairy to come tonight. He's posing with the bag of loot.

The placement of the baggie is critical.  It has to be peeking out so that she can reach it easily and exchange it for a dollar.

This is the first of three silly pictures.  I said Smile so I can see your new missing tooth gap.  Here is what I got.

This is what I got when I said no, show me your bottom teeth. You can see that with one of the middle teeth gone, the other is just listing in there waiting to fall out.

And because I can't stop taking horrible and awkward pictures, here is a close up of the chaos that is his mouth.  The two big boy teeth and one baby tooth in front.  And some serious nostrils.

Snow Bikes

Josh and Luke decided to take advantage of the nice weather and ride their bikes through the snow.

Luke loves the idea of riding in the snow.

Coming at you dad!

This is hard work.

Ohhh Yeahhh!

Luke check out my rooster tail.

The Blue Army

For Christmas, Luke got blue army men (aka police men) in his stocking. Josh loves staging wars with them, usually against Josh's "real" army men.

Can you hear him?  Can you feel the intensity of the battle?

Hunters

The boys are camoflage masters.  Can you see them hiding in the "tree"?

Luke's either aiming his gun, winking, or being a pirate.

Sweet little boys

Luke gets so tired, but he's too fiddly-farty to nap well at our house.  The other day he just dropped on teh couch.  Sweet boy.

We took this on Christmas day, I think, and I just love it. They're in a good phase of playing nicely together, and this picture sure shows just how close they're getting.  My heart is melted.
