Pirate Preview

Ahoy!  We got to go to a costume party Saturday.  Our costumes thesWe were the Jake and the Neverland Pirates cast (for those of you who don't know, it's a Disney Jr show...)  Luke is Cubby, I'm Izzy, Josh is Jake and of course Mike is Captain Hook.  In drag.

Last football game of the season

Can  you hear him yelling Go Patriots?

I loved how much fun he was having on the bench with his little team mates.

He's so silly!

Gearing up for Halloween

My little chefs.  We made english muffin mummy mia pizzas on Friday night.  They were part of a Halloween themed dinner with two kinds of eyeballs and goblin mouths (can you see them in the background).
I can't help but wonder what Josh is doing in this picture...

He looks so proud (or possessed...) of his mummy

Luke liked to eat his cheese slices more than he liked to place them on his mummies.

The final product -- mummy mia pizzas!

Daycare Candid Shots

Our daycare has a professional photographer working their part time, and we got to have these great candid shots from her.  Aren't they fun?
He is such a funny boy.  Why? Why put a bucket on your head?

Bucket Head

Batmanning. It's the new planking.
Just a happy boy, king of the world.

Josh's first school picture

We couldn't ask for a better school picture!  Doesn't he look so grown up?  This picture melts my heart...

Ropers

Josh was actually roping -- we have several pictures of him doing it well!  Who knew.

And this picture makes me think he was actually trying his hardest -- I wonder if he was trying to pull the head out of the hay bale.

Luke did well too -- but at a lot closer range.

Fearless

Just like last year, Josh loved jumping from hay bale to hay bale.  He's fearless. His tongue reminds me of Michael Jordan.

It looks like a big jump to me.  This kid needs to learn to respect his body!

Luke knows his bounds and called for a spotter. Thanks Grampa Harley!

Luke, king fiddlyfarter, decided to just walk instead of jump.

Pumpkin Patch Highlights

All four grandkids smiling in one picture. Who knew it was possible?

I wonder what he's thinking with that silly grin and those stubborn crossed arms...

Josh and Sierra know that we must always take time to smell the flowers.

Go niners

Happy Birthday Sierra

I apologize in advance to those of you who check Jen's blog and mine. I copied all my pictures directly from her blog, so there is no new material here.  For those of you who only check mine, never mind.

Happy 5th Birthday, Sierra!  She wanted a Halloween theme, so look how fun this is!

Luke is a little tiny copier -- look how much fun he had with Cassie.

This is at the pumpkin patch/corn maze in Vaughn.  It was too muddy to do the maze, but they had a great time with the other attractions.

A rare shot of all four grandkids with the Harleys. I want to point out that Josh is in "cowboy gear" -- he wanted to wear his sheriff badge and black cowboy hat from a few years ago (see below), but I think daddy put the kiabash on those accessories.  I think he looks tough while the girls look so sweet.

Again, Luke copying his girl cousin. I love that these two play well together. I worried that Luke would feel left out because he is so much younger than Josh and Sierra (not to mention Cassie), but they accomodate him well.

Flag Football, again

Don't you love the athletic stance?

Check it out -- he's handing off the ball!  Go Josh Jenkins, Quarterback of the Patriots! (for one play at least...)

And who would believe this, but he's actually in the hunt for the ball.  Usually he's kind of, uh, behind the pack.  Here he is in the middle. I'm so proud.

Now if we can just teach him that his mouthguard is supposed to protect his teeth, not his cheeks.  One thing at a time.

We're so proud of how hard he tries. Look at him go!

Go team Patriots!

Luke had a great time running the bases (the games are played at the softball complex). He has a great daddy who played imaginary baseball with him.

When he was on the sidelines, he was still entertaining us.  Where could Luke be?

Surprise!
